Violet Clare

Violet Clare is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan, who moved to Chicago in August of 2022. She's been writing for as long as she can remember, whether it be novels or poems, but her passion has always lain with music. Violet taught herself to play the ukulele when she was 11 and wrote her first song with the instrument mere days later. Her style is best described as indie but has also been described as alternative and folky. Violet's main focus is lyricism. Most recently, she was featured as the album of the week for her debut EP "Running Clockwise (Demo)" on WJMD radio, won second place in her school's talent show, performed a 45 minutes set at The Stray, performed at her high school's baccalaureate ceremony, performed two hour sets at the Holland Performer series on June 23, June 30, July 14, and August 4, and played 45 minutes of music at the Bizarre Bazaar on June 25.
